Das doppelte Lottchen #168, lots of cards & EXCITING news!

Hello everyone,

I guess you notived that it was quiet for a while over here. Well, Anni and I decided to take a summer break, but we are back and I have tons of cards to share!

For those new on my blog:

Lottie and Lisa means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task.

Today I made a wish, and it is:

I am usually not a big fan of purple, but I recently fell in love with soft-purple/ turquoise combos, so I used that color combo  for this week's card:

Das doppelte Lottchen #163 (three of them)

It's sunday, that means it's Lottie and Lisa time! 

Lottie and Lisa means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task.

Today I made a wish, and it is:

Memory Box Large Circle Burst Die

minimal coloring

Okay, I admit, I don't knoe what I was thinking when I came up with this challenge. I clearly had something in mind, but I just couldn't remember. So today I have three cards for you - from a very mininmal layout to a busy one, but all of them only have a little bit of coloring on them :)

 The first card is the most minimal one. I used the die to create a stencil and inked some white pigment ink onto my kraft cardstock. The fox got a tiny bit of Polychromos coloriing.

Not coloring as much as I normally would  - so not coloring the best I could - freaked me out and I wasn't too pleased with the result, so I decided to make another one:

The second card got a more interesting Layout, is still pretty CAS and only has a bit of coloring because these images only need very little color. I liked how this turned out but thought I might try again...

The third card is super busy with lot of diecutting and stamping Action. Is has lots of dimension, different Textures and still not too much coloring:

Hoewever, I feel like I colored to much oneach of the cards, so I think I cheated on my own challenge - so sorry! Hope you liked the cards anyway!

That means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task.

Today Anni made a wish, and it is:

Lawn Fawn -  Stitched Journaling Card die

and

watercolor + salt

Plaing with paints and mediums is so much fun, but I sometimes struggle with accepting the results that I get (honestly - watercolor just does what it does, most of the time...) So I created multiple backgrounds using watercolos and salt to pick the one O loved most. More salt or less? More color or less? More water ot less? There are so many things to think of to create different looks. 

In the end I had lot of everything - haha :)

This is the card that I made:

This technique is create to create a winter nightsky, so I went with this - different shades of blue and this texture make it look interesting. I kept the rest of the card simple, with that super adorable walrus from Paper Smooches.

His look is too funny - he looks like someone was really getting on his nerves. Maybe Christmas is not his favorite time of the year - I am not sure, but I like how this card turned out.

Lawn Fawn - Make Lemonade

&

old newpaper or bookpage

Ages ago  (well, it was Lottie and Lisa #20) Anni and I made a Lottie and Lisa when I saw her using a chinese newsletter on her card and I thought "I want that, too!!". Years later I got mail from China and they used newspaper for their packaging, so I kept that and knew I'd make a card out of this. Anni's challenge was perfect for this! - Of course I have NO idea about anything written there - hope it's nothing on the negative side - but I thought it would add some exotic feeling to this summery lemonade card. 

(Fun fact: I admire Anni's cards that much, my whole memory is full of her cards - cards she doesn't remember herself - lol!)

 

• tear a piece of newspaper to the right size and attach it to your cardbase. 
• Cut an oval panel (I used my Silhouette) and adhere it onto the paper with some foam pads.
• stamp, color and fuzzy cut the images, adhere them with more foam tape
• add some bright washi tape and matching enamel stickers for more interest and brightness
• use alphabet stickers to create your own sentiment.
• add glossy accents to all your glass-parts

• Alphabet stickers are perfect to create your own sentiments
• adhering your rectangle-alpha-stickers in a wanky way has multiple advantages: you don't have to line anything up correctly AND it adds more dynamic to a fun card.
• repeating colors with different embellishments pulls the card together (so you can NEVER have enough embellishments in different colors - right?)
• Glossy accents always add a little extra - and that glass-effect is perfect on stamp sets like this.

Hier einigen die wunderbare Anni und ich uns üblicherweise auf einen Stempel oder ein Stempelset , dass wir beide besitzen und gestalten (unser Geschmack ist sehr ähnlich!) mit diesem und einer Zusatzaufgabe eine Karte.

I decided to have a circle frame made of Balsa Wood or one of the monsters and used the new Create A Smile Paper Pack "Fell Good" that will be released next week. (I'll add a peek of the paper pack to the bottom of this post. I know you will love it!)

Ich habe mich entschieden einen runden Rahmen für ein Monster aus Balsa Holz zu machen und habe einige Papiere aus dem neuem Create A Smile Papier Pack "Feel Good" benutzt- (Ich werde eine Vorschau auf das Papier am ende dieses Post einfügen. Ich bin mir sicher, dass es Euch gefällt!)
