It's sunday, that means it's Lottie and Lisa time!

That means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task.

Today Ii made a wish, and it is:

Hero Arts - Woodgrain Backround

&

Rainbow

I am a sucker for everything rainbow AND woodgrain, so I thought combining both would be cool. I kept my card super simple:

 

• I white heat embossed the woodgrain pattern onto a large piece of cardstock
• I inked it up with Distress Stains (picked raspberry, barn door, spiced marmelade, squeezed lemonade, twisted citron, broken china, peacock feathers - the purple is a mixture of peacock feathers and picked raspberry, because I had no purple Distress Stain dauber).
• I cut the feather shapes with my Silhouette
• I die cut the sentiment (My Favorite Things) from black cardstock.
• I assembled the card and added glossy accents to the die-cut sentiment
• A few enamel dot bring the card together.

This is super simple and a pretty clean card, but with all it's brightness, I don't think it needed anything else.

Can't stop crafting

Yes, it's true - now that i have some time off I just can't stop stamping, coloring, fuzzy cutting, assembling...  I even dreamt of making cards during the last nights. Seems I missed crafting a lot.

So, three more cards for you know (I have way more, but again - I'll split it up so you don't get overwhelmed.)

1) Fühl Dich umarmt (feel hugged)

Another new stamp - that mushroom stamp from Personal Impressions' Zentagles series is just adorable. Still it's pretty dark if stamped in black, so I knew white embossing and a rainbow would look good on it. I loooove how this turned out, even if fuzzy cutting took some time.

The sentiment is from Create A Smile's "Hey Quatschkopf".

2) Echt? SO alt? (Really? THAT old?)
I practiced my Polychromos coloring last night and I think this little dinosaur-like monster by Paper Smooches turned out nice. I used some paper scraps from create A Smile's Feel Good Paper Pack and used a new stitched-line die so make the scraps look as if they were sewn on to the card base. Just a little detail, you know?

3) Liebste Grüße (kindest regards)
This is a super simple cards with lots of shapes cut with my Silhouette (The circle and frame, the heart, the plants). Super simple but bright and therefore kind of eye-catching. Bright pink with green might be a combo I love, even if I don't like pink a lot.
Just to say a nice hello to a friend. :)

I used my SIlhouette and my loved label-paper to create Alphabet stickers, colored them with copics and created a funky background. This idea was "stolen"from a card I saw on Anni's blog ages ago - she used some left-ofter die cut letters, I think.

However, I think this is a fun birthday card and can be used for guys also :)

Tickling Tuesday #28 - creating a shiny sunshine

Hello, dag, hallo, salam, hola, bonjour, ciao!

it's that time again....
But I cheated. I just watched a video from Jennifer McGuire and couldn't resist using some of her ideas. Well - at least I put a link to her video to my video, so you can watch both and maybe find something inspiring in each of them.
We did not use the same products - not one of them ;)

Aber ich hab gepfuscht. Ich habe eben eine Video von Jennifer McGuire gesehen und konnte einfach nicht anders, als einige ihrer Ideen zu benutzen. Nun - immerhin habe ich einen Link zu ihrem Video in meinem Video, ihr könnt Euch also beide ansehen und vielleicht in beiden etwas inspirierendes finden.
Wir haben nciht die gleichen Produkte benutzt - kein einziges ;)

I sometimes have a hard time using my own handwriting, but I think this turned out really pretty. I just love love love my drawing-tablet! Making your custom cutting files is fun, makes your cards more personal and leads to ENDLESS possibilities! :)

Do you create your own files, sometimes? Or use your handwriting on your cards? 

Manchmal find ich es ja schwierig, meine eigene Handschrift zu benutzen, aber ich finde diesmal sieht es richtig hübsch aus. Ich liebe liebe liebe mein Zeichentablett einfach. Das erstellen eigener Schnittdateien macht Spaß, macht die Karten noch persönlicher und bietet ENDLOSE Möglichkeiten :)

Macht ihr auch manchmal Eure eigenen Schnitt-dateien? Oder benutzt Eure Handschrift auf Euren Karten?

Create a Smile - Layering cuts

Hello again!

Sundays are crafty - so I have another project to share with you.

I'm sharing some thoughts on layered (die) cut on the Create A Smile Blog.  I'm really in love with cut shapes, but combining them can be difficult - however I really love how this card turned out.

Create A Smile - Creating a window-tag

Hi there!
Just a very quick post. Today I have a video for you that I shared over at the Create A Smile Blog. I had a blast creating this card. And as always - some things went wrong - and were fixed.

Jeden Dienstsg werde ich nun versuchen Euer Mojo mit einem neuen Video zu Kitzeln.

Ich hoffe ihr mögt es und habt Spaß!

Some time ago there was a 40% off - event for the silhouette store and I "bought" tons of stuff - not knowing if I would ever use it (I subscribed for one year anyway). Along all those files there were some ticket shapes that I liked - but in fact I never used a ticket on a card before. I cut out some shapes yesterday and filles the page with things that I would like to use - like the tickets. 

I did not have any idea in mind when I cut them out yesterday, but I decided to get tickled by them for today's Tickling Tuesday. I drew a sketch and wrote down ideas this time - and this is the result:

Vor einiger Zeit gab es im Silhouette Store eine 40% Rabatt Aktion und da habe ich ganz viele Dinge "gekauft" von denen ich nicht wusste, ob ich sie jemals benutzen würde (Ich habe eh ein einjähriges Abo). Unter all diesen Dateien waren auch einige Ticket-Formen die ich cool fand - aber ich habe noch nie Tickets auf Karten benutzt. Gestern habe ich einige Formen ausgeschnitten und den Rest der Seite mir Formen gefüllt, die ich gerne mal benutzen würde - wie die Tickets.

Ich hatte noch gar keine Idee, als ich sie gestern ausschnitt, aber ich habe heute beschlossen mein Mojo von ihnen kitzeln zu lassen. Heute habe ich einen Sketch gezeichnet und einige Ideen aufgeschrieben und das ist das Ergebnis:

I am really really happy how this turned out and how the bright colors pop against the white background. Hope you like it, too!

In dem Video erkläre ich, wie ihr auch ohne Plotter oder Stanzen ganz einfach eine Ticketform herstellen könnt - es ist wirklich einfach.

Ich freue mich wirklich wirklich sehr, wie diese Karte an Ende aussieht und wie die knalligen Farben vor dem weißen Hintergrund strahlen. Ich hoffe, ihr mögt sie auch!

Flowers and feathers

Hey there, this is my second post already today. Because I made two CAS cards that I'd love to share with you:

First up is a flower card.
I cut out the flowers with my silhouette and while they were still on the cutting mat colored them with distress ink in spiced marmelade, worn lipstick and picked raspberry. I dropped some water onto it to give s some texture. Orange and pink with a lot of white always looks stunning, right?
And a pop of black makes it even better, so I also cut the sentiment, colored it black and adhered it.
Very simple but eye-catching (that's what I love most ;) )

My second card is simple as well. A bit of patterned paper  and some wood veneer paper that I cut with Simon Says Stamp dies. I also cut those shapes out of brown cardstock and layered it to get the look of wood veneer embellishments.
