Das doppelte Lottchen #105

It's Lottie and Lisa time!
That means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp that that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this set and another task.

Today I made a wish, and it is:

and

No card

keine Karte

This is what I came up with:
I cut out the shape for this star-pillowbox with my Silhouette from some Alison Kreft 12x12" paper that I though would go well with the "up & Away" Theme. I colored the little monkey and balloons in colors close to the paper (+ the neutral from that monkey) and covered the balloons with glossy accents. to add more interest. The sentiment ("Congrats") was created with Elle's Studio Alphabet stickers in warm grey.
Another detail is the red-and-white ribbon that I added to make opening the box even easier and you don't have do look for the open fold.

Challenge:

I really love how this turned out and try to think of someone who'll get a little gift soon. (Maybe some sweets. But I need a reason for the congrats, haha!)

Now hop over to Anni's blog to see her non-card-creation!
Thanks for stoppin' by, have a nice sunday!

Cute and funny gift wrapping with Sweet Stamp Shop

Hi everyone!
This is already my second post today - busy me, hehe :)

It's my turn to bring some inspiration to the Sweet Stamp Shop Blog today. They just have so many adorable and versatile images - I am IN LOVE:
This time I thought about all the possibilities of decorating gift wrappings.

I mean - Pillow Boxes are easy to make and they're so beautiful. I think they are my favorite. (Especially since I have my silhouette - I can make them nearly any size I want. easy peasy!
You can stamp in them, add twine, cut our images and adhere them, you can add glitter, cut out a window (Note to self: I should do this!)...

For my Pillow Boy I used the cool hippo from "too hip" with the moustache from that same set:

My second idea for a gift wrapping campe up when a friend sent me some canvas-baggies. I never knew it was so easy to stamp on canvas. I just have to get more of those bags, they can be used for ANYTHING! (They're not only good for gift wrappings, you can keep small stuff in there - like cubes for a game.)

This one is pretty small - for a very tiny gift maybe.

My third (and for now last) idea is a vellum- bag or paper bag. Yes - I am a fan of vellum. And again: I cut that out with my Silhouette. Stamping on vellum is a littly trocky, because the stamp might slide around because the ink is not absorbed by the paper that quick. Just make sure to stamp straight :)
That skunk from "stinky Skunk" is beyond adorable - isn't he? and funny.
Challenges:

There are so many more possibilities to make gift wrappings:
- gift card holders
- decorated "classic" wrappings
- Jars with a Tag
- Boxes
- Envelopes...

What else can you think of?

You can find all the details on my ideas, links to the stamp sets and a photo of the entire collection HERE.

Thanks so much for stoppin' by!
