Fruit and a sad farewell

Can you believe my 6-month-term at Newton's Nook Designs is over already! I hardly can!

I had a blast with that team - they are all so kind, supportive and funny. I really had a great time on that team.

I'd like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Jennifer, who was/is such an awesome, relaxed, motivating teamleader and a lovely person. She always supports her team so well!

Jen and I decided that I might need a lot of time for my baby Create a Smile Stamps and although we loved working together this is my last post for Newton's Nook Designs. (Insert sad face here)

This is the fruity card that I'd like to share with you today:

I paper-pieced the fruit from sweet summer and added that to some (hard to see) light grey-chevron paper. Then I added the sentiment and some enamel dots to finish the card. Very simple, but eye-catching with all the colors right? They just pop.

Sweet summer is such a fun set to play with, I love it a lot!

Newton's Nook Designs June Release: Sweet summer

Yeah, it's time for day two of the new Newton's Nook Designs Release!

The new stamp sets are available for purchase in the Newton's Nook Designs shop on friday. Today we are showcasing the new set "Sweet Summer" - a fun set with lot of sweet summer fruit to make some sweet summery cards. Love them a lot!

For my card I picked a slice of citrus fruit - you can make this any citrus fruit you want - just by picking the colors. I mixe up slices from an orange and a lemon. I used some masking, but you could also put the images up - so many possibilities! I really had fun playing with this set!

And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way Jen puts her sentiments together. Aren't they adorable?

For my card I combined some scrapbooking-supplies from Elle's studio to have a nice surrounding for that little chickie. Best of cluck is such a funny sentiment, right?

Newton's Nook Design: Inky Paws Challenge

Hello again - I have another Challenge for you.
And again  you could win yourself some stamps - so don't miss your chance (We're all "collectors" and can never have enough stamps - right?)

So, the new Newton's Nook Design Challenge is all about texture. Use some wood, metal or cork texture on your projects - I know yo'll come up with awesome ideas!

I used a wood veneer frame on my card which is very male. (Of course it it - it's a father's day card!)
And I also added some wood veneer stars. :) Winston's BBQ is a perfect set for all the male cards for the heros in your life - right?

Video: Newton's Nook designs + stamping over stencils

Happy Friday!

Today I'd like to share a video that I made using Newton's Nook Designs' set Love Grows. This mini set is perfect for mother's day card, Valentine's cards...  all cards that are female and full of love :)

I made a one-layer card using a stencils, inks and stamps. So much fun!

Heute würde ich gerne ein Video mit Euch teilen, für das ist Newton's Nook Designs Set Love Grows benutzt habe. Dieses mini Set ist perfekt für Muttertage, Valentins-Karten... alle femininen Karten voller Liebe :)

Ich habe eine One-Layer-Karte gemacht mit Schablonen, Stempelfarbe und Stempeln. Das hat Spaß gemacht!

NND Inky Paws Challenge - A color combo

Hi there,
are you having a good start into the week-end? I just bought some new watercolor supplies and can't wait to try them out.
But first, let me show you my card for the new Inky Paws Challenge over at Newton's Nook Designs. This time it was a color combo.

Although there is pink and purple I really wanted to play along. I used the beautiful rose from Love Grows again. The sentiment is from Spring Showers.

Newton's Nook: Spring flowers

Hey there!

I'm happy to be featured on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog today. You know they have so many beautiful and fun stamps. I have two cards to share:

Today I keep it kind of "elegant" with my first card - which is totally untypical for me. But this rose just screamed for it!

I used Love Grows set to create a get well card. The sentiment "get well soon" is from the Spring Showers set. 

The second one is a fun one. I stamped the flowers and a pot from Versatile Vases., cut them out and gave them some dimension. For the background I used a stencil.

Newtons Nook: Alles Gute

Hi there, how are you doing?

I had a little surgery on monday, but I am fine and going to work again. Sun is shining, birds are singing - I am happy :)

Today I have a card for Newton's Nook Design . It's something like a anniversarycard (well, that's what I see in it...) "Alles Gute" means "all the best".

Newtons Nook Inky Paws Challenge #7

I picked the bear from the Halloween Set "Boo Crew" - and used him for a get well card. Doesn't have to be a mummy!
