Das doppelte Lottchen #179

Hello everyone,

Here we are with a new Lottie and Lisa - I love those Sundays so much!

For those new on my blog:
Lottie and Lisa means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task.
For today Anni made a wish, and it is:

My favorite things - Forest Friends

&

Dry embossing with stencils

I think dry embossing can add such fabulous details to your cards, but I often struggle to use it, because it seems "so 2010" to me - hehe. That was when there was just too much going on on my cards. ;)
I picked a not-yet-released stencil from Create A Smile do add some subtile hearts to the circle panel and I really really love how this turned out. It adds a special touch without overloading the card.

You can see the embossing a little better on this detail photo:

Do you use a lot of dry embossing on your cards? Feel free to link to your creationsin the comments - I'd love to check them out and get inspired <3

Thanks for stopping by, now hop over to Anni's blog so see what she came up with!

Have a great day!

Das doppelte Lottchen #164

It's sunday, that means it's Lottie and Lisa time!

Lottie and Lisa means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task.
Today Anni made a wish, and it is:

My favorite Things - Cool Day

&

Gold

We've had a mostly cold and grey week over here inGermany and I am totally not in the mood for Christmas cards, so I struggeled with Anni's wich. And gold will never ever (in no way) be my fav. color.

I thought I'd make a cool background with just a bit of gold embossed details, spend some time coloring and really liked how this turned out. Then I colored and fuzzy cut the bear  and realized that the background and the bear would be competing on one card, so I decided to make one card for each, but both only turned out "okay" for my taste.

I would also like to share some more cards. I got a huge bunch of new dies yesterday and had to try some of them out. I also used watercolor on all of them :)
 Here are the results:

Allsorts - In the pink
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Just Add Ink - "b" (Birds)

Now hop over to Anni's blog to find her creation :) She'll knock your socks off ;)

Thanks for viisting!

Das doppelte Lottchen #161

It's sunday, that means it's Lottie and Lisa time!

Lottie and Lisa means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task.
Today I made a wish, and it is:

My Favorite Things - Birthday Bears

&

use alphabet stamps

Well, those bears are just ADORBS and I had a blast coloring this little guy ()then my colorless blender ran out of ink, my refill is GONE (I know I put it somewhere is a safe place... too place obviously.. haha) so I had to re-order a new one, found out that cultpens.com is offering 30% off on Copics and refills now and BAM i placed an order - whoops - that's how things go, right? Has anyone ever managed to just order ONE copic item? Never ever. I won't believe you if you tell me you did ;)

I used an old Alphabet stamp set by The Alley Way Stamps - I always loved that font!

I also got a fuse tool this week and would like to share two cards that I made to try it out.
'1 is for our curent "Let's Create A Smile" inspiration Challenge at the Create A Smile Friends & Family Facebook group.
When I made this moodboard i strived through my stash and home to find a great color combo and to take matching photos and this is the result:

If you feel inspired by this and would like to win something - join the group, share your creation (including Create A Smile products or freebies) and have fun :)

This is my card using the fuse tool:

For the second card Birka from Mit Herz und Schere suggested we could make a card using the theme "round party" - and this was my result:

Das doppelte Lottchen #160 + Video: Baby shaker

It's sunday, that means it's Lottie and Lisa time!

Lottie and Lisa means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task.
Today I made a wish, and it is:

Scallops have totally been a trend some years ago and I feel they're coming back. All the beautiful dies released by different companies that have banners and frames and all the fun stuff with some scallops - I am in love.
I, however, do not own any scallop-dies, but my Big Mama (Brother Scan N Cut) did an Awesome job for me :)

I also have a second card with nearly the same color combo  to share with you today:
We have a new facebook Group for all the Create A Smile lovers out there (Create A Smile Friends & Family - feel free to join us!) - and when I asked what everyone wanted to see in a video it came to baby cards, so this is the card that I made:

MFT Bears in the house (+new Create A Smile products)

Hello crafty peeps :)

I'm here to share two cards today. I ordered some My Favorite Things stamps from Butterfly Reflections Ink and my order arrived on Friday. Luckily I have some time off now and managed to get some crafty time this week-end, so I played with my new goodies.

These are the cards:

1) Nur mit Euch ist Weihnachten schön
The sentiment says "Christmas is only nice with you" and is from a new Create A Smile sentiment set that will be released on Saturday (along with the Snow Dance Kit - wohoooo!)

Allsorts - no design Paper
Virginia's View - All things colored
Merry Monday - Java time

2) Zum Geburtstag für Dich
That little baby bear is so super cute, I just had to use him on my boy-birthday card. (sentiment can be translated with "for your birthday".
These dies are a sneak peak of upcoming products (November) - I just couldn't resist using them... oops! ;)

Seize the birthday - Anything goes
Alphabet challenge - quick and simple
My time to craft - autumnal colors
Creative Friday - tierisch gut

Now I'd like to share the  new Create A Smile products that will be released on Saturday. The release countdown full of inspiration will start today over at the Create A Smile blog - join the fun! :)

Thanks for stopping by - it's much appreciated :)

Das doppelte/ vierfache Lottchen 145/ 1

It's sunday, that means it's Lottie and Lisa time!

That means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task. But this time it's a bit different. Knowing that our friends Birka and Tanja  also own the stamp set that's used for this week's challenge, we invited them to play along - and they happily said yes. So we don't have a Lottie & Lisa, but something like "Lottie, Lisa, Lola and Lily." ;)
I am so happy they join us, because they're super talented, sweet, lovely and for sure an inspiration for all of us :)

Today I made a wish, and it is:

My Favorite Things - You Gnome Me
no red and no green

I made two cards today: First I didn't like how the first card came out, secondly I wasn't sure if the mint stickers would be considered to be green. I'll show you that purplish desaster anyway later. (Maybe using purple was just too much of a challenge!).

The next card turned out quite nice (and it has some unreleased products on it - ssssht!)

Here's the card that I didn't like: I cut off the gnomes ears because I thought he might look like a santa then. (Guess at least that worked out...)

Now check out the girls blog to see what they created! :)

Playing with my new products :)

Hello everyone,

I've been crafting a LOT today. I don't think I have been that crafty during the last three months or even longer, so I enjoyed it a whole lot.
As I told you in my last post  (about my trip to Berlin, meeting Anni and Birka) I spent a lot of money on new supplies. Tons of stamps, dies, inkpads, mists... All typed of stuff. So I have many things to try out and my mojo is jumping around in circles like crazy :)

I'd like to share three cards with you now (I made lots more, but I'll keep some for another post):

1) Hello with MFT Gnomes

Anni and Birka totally convinced me that I needed the You Gnome Me stamp set my my favorite things. They're cute and fun to color. I'm not a huge gnome fan, but Torico/ Birdie Brown just created the cutest creatures.
And when I saw the new MFT color challenge I new I was going to make this card:

2) Glückwunsch with a cute lion
Have you seen my last lions cards? I used the Reverse Confetti lions last time. But I also have a new tiny lion stamp from Efco/ Janes Doodles - and that guy is super cute as well.
I CASed one of Annis cards here:

Mustard and Aqua - what a fantastic combo! I need to keep that in mind!

Seize the birthday - anything goes (Sentiment says "Congratulations")

3) für dich (for you)
Anni has two boxes full of supplies that she's going to sell, so I took a look through them and found a darling stamp set my Memory box that has two cute giraffes in it. I just haad to take it and give it a beautiful new home and some love.
This is the first card I made using that set (and my new speech bubble dies...!)

Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me. Hope this inspires you - I appreciate your feedback! :)
Christine
