I got my new Distress Markers in Saturday - I had seen many people use them and couldn't resist any longer. So here are two of the card that I created this weekend, using my Stampotique monsters (because I thought they're fun coloring and they're the largest images that I have).
I'm still not sure the use of Distress Markers does make sense - but I'll have another post on that later today ;)
Ich habe Samstag meine neuen Distress Markers bekommen - ich hatte viele Leute gesehen, die sie benutzen, und konnte nicht länger widerstehen. Als habe ich hier zwei Karten für Euch, die ich mit meinen Stampotique Monstern gemacht habe (Weil ich dachte es sei Spaß sie zu kolorieren und weil es die Größten Bilder sind, die ich habe).
Ich bin mir nicht nicht sicher, ob Distress Marker wirklich Sinn machen - aber ich werde dazu später einen Post schreiben ;)
1) I quite like your smile
For this one I used evergreen bough (body), mowed lawn (nose) and ripe persimmon (birds). I wonder why the birds look like a coral color - but it's not the photo - this is really how they turned out after the water touched the ripe persimmon (which should be a bright orange color?!). I like the color anyway - I just don't think it's the color it should be.
Für diese Karte habe ich evergreen bough (Körper), mowed lawn (Nase) und ripe persimmon (Vögel) benutzt. Ich frage mich, warum die Vögel so eine Koralle-Farbe haben - aber das liegt nicht am Foto, so wurden sie tatsächlich nachdem das Wasser das ripe persimmon berührte (das eigentlich ein grellen orange sein sollte?!). Ich mag die Farbe trotzdem, es ist aber halt nicht die Farbe, die es sein sollte.

On this card I used iced spruce (Body) and seedless preserves (horns, nose). Iced spruce is such a nice color, but it changes in contact with water: the blue/greenish grey turns into a simple cold grey. It doesn't react with the water VERY good - you still see every single stroke. Well, I find that it's okay if you accept to have strong, dark shadows. (Yes, i know, you seem to get better results if you out the colors onto an acrylic block first. But that's what I always did with my distress inks - so what's the point about getting the markers?)
Auf dieser Karte habe ich iced spruce (Körper) and seedless preserves (Hörner und Nase) benutzt. Iced spruce ist so eine schöne Farbe, aber sie ändert sich bei Kontakt mit Wasser: das blau-grünliche grau wird zu einem einfachen kalten grau. Es reagiert auch nicht SEHR gut mit Wasser - man sieht jeden einzelnen Strick. Naja, ich finde das ist okay wenn man starke, dunkle Schatten in Kauf nimmt. (Ja, ich weiß, die Ergebnisse sollen besser werden, wenn man die Stifte erst auf einem Acrylblock benutzt und von da aus mit dem Pinsel arbeitet, aber das habe ich schon immer mit meinen Distress Inks gemacht - warum also sollte man sich dann die Marker kaufen?)
