Hello everyone :)
Wishing you a sunny sunday. It's pretty nice over here - I have been sitting on the balcony, making a color swatch for my Polychromos and enjoying the springy weather.
(You already know this picture if you follow the Create A Smile Instagram account. There's auper much inspiration and I sometimes share what I am doing right now :) So if you'd like to take a peek at my time - make sure to subscribe ;)
I used some movable label-stickers - So I can always add more colors and keep it looking well organised.
Did ou know that those labels make a great, inexpensive (oh yes!) masking paper? I have no idea why the same products is much more expensive with a different name on it. I don't like that many crafty companies sell there products for more money just because they found a different way to use it. (e.g. A spray bottle for distress inks... .excuse me?!?! - is there ANY difference between that bottle and the others that you use for gardeing and stuff? Just search ebay.com for "spray bottle" and you'll find lots of cheap alternatives!)
Okay, enough of that. But let me tell you that there are TONS of products that are everyday items with a different name - just be on the lookout to save money :) )
It's sunday, that means it's Lottie and Lisa time!
That means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp that that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this set and another task.
Today I made a wish, and it is:
Create A Smile - Penguin Party
&
Water Droplets on a Distress- ink-background
I made a cute simple card with some squeezed lemonade, cracked pistachio and pine needles. The sentiment is from "Hey Quatschkopf" and says "Happy birthday to you, jelly in your shoe" which is a silly, but popular children's rhyme :)
It's hard to see, but the sentiment is embossed with wow earth tone mint embossing powder.
Challenges:
Thanks for stoppin' by, please check out Anni's blog to see how she was inspired by this challenge :)
Christine, very cute and beautiful card! Saw it on Instagram, and wanted to look closer and read about it. Love your distressed green mat and splatters making a perfect background for your nice penguin :)

ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous! Great colors and splats! Thanks for joining us at Frosted Designs!
