Lettering + Penny Black

Hello everyone, happy wednesday!

I'm back with a new post as a proud

When I saw THIS CARD by my friend Anni I knew I had to try a CASE version of this. - Colored embossing on vellum to frame your focal point - how genius is that?
So this is my take:

  • Stamp your Flowers (Penny Black 30-281 Flower Sparks) onto Vellum and emboss them in different colors.
  • fuzzy cut them.
  • cut off the bottom part of your card and use an edge-punch to decorate some colored cardstock for the edge.
  • Adhere that punched piece to the back of your cerdfront, lining it up with the bottom of the card.
  • write/stamp/letter your sentiment, fuzzy cut it and adhere the embossed flowers to the back of that sentiment.
  • bot flowers and the sentiment up with foam adhesive.
  • depending on your sentiment, add additional text with alphabet stickers. (my sentiment says THANKS... for everything

if you don't feel too good about lettering your own sentiment you can use a stamp or a die of course.

Stamps:
Cardstock: Color Copy, Faltkarten (türkis, Vellum)
Ink: lettering with Tombow ABT marker, Versamark
Embossingpowder: Wow (white, pastel pink, pastel peach), Paper Poetry (mint pearl)
stickers: Kaiser Kraft Tiny Alpha Stickers

Thanks for stoppin' by - hope this was somehow inspirational :)

Das doppelte Lottchen #149

It's sunday, that means it's Lottie and Lisa time!

That means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task.
Today Anni made a wish, and it is:

&
Stitching

What a fantastic idea, huh? No, lets put all ironiy away - I had that idea and then I didn't know how to work my way through this challenge, so this card is pretty untypical for me. (of course NOW i get more ideas, but, well... this is what I came up with:

Even it this is not my usual style I love how this turned out. I added some coloring with colored pensilc (Polychromos) to just some of the white embossed balloons and added shading with a grey copic marker to achieve the look of dimension. I sewed around the panel before I adhered it with some fun foam  and added a sentiment with alphabet stickers. Simple , quick and easy ;)

You know I am a proud member of the Penny Black Simplicity sisters - check out there blog to find more Clean and simple creation by amazing designers :)

Thanks for visiting! :)

Can't stop crafting

Yes, it's true - now that i have some time off I just can't stop stamping, coloring, fuzzy cutting, assembling...  I even dreamt of making cards during the last nights. Seems I missed crafting a lot.

So, three more cards for you know (I have way more, but again - I'll split it up so you don't get overwhelmed.)

1) Fühl Dich umarmt (feel hugged)

Another new stamp - that mushroom stamp from Personal Impressions' Zentagles series is just adorable. Still it's pretty dark if stamped in black, so I knew white embossing and a rainbow would look good on it. I loooove how this turned out, even if fuzzy cutting took some time.

The sentiment is from Create A Smile's "Hey Quatschkopf".

Addicted to stamps and more - CAS
Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge - stamping
CASual Fridays - Embossing

2) Echt? SO alt? (Really? THAT old?)
I practiced my Polychromos coloring last night and I think this little dinosaur-like monster by Paper Smooches turned out nice. I used some paper scraps from create A Smile's Feel Good Paper Pack and used a new stitched-line die so make the scraps look as if they were sewn on to the card base. Just a little detail, you know?

3) Liebste Grüße (kindest regards)
This is a super simple cards with lots of shapes cut with my Silhouette (The circle and frame, the heart, the plants). Super simple but bright and therefore kind of eye-catching. Bright pink with green might be a combo I love, even if I don't like pink a lot.
Just to say a nice hello to a friend. :)

I'll be back soon with more cards. Thanks for checking back!

Das doppelte Lottchen #135

It's sunday, that means it's Lottie and Lisa time!

That means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task.
Today I made a wish, and it is:

Create A Smile - Sending Sunshine Kit
&
partial die-cutting.

Most of you know that Create A Smile is my little baby-company - so how could I not enjoy playing with my own products? :) I could never ever release a stamp set that I myself would not enjoy.
The sending sunshine kit came out last month and it was a huge success so we re-stocked (still some left, you can find it HERE - but it's a limited quantity - when they're gone, they're gone, so better be quick!).
I thought creating a Lottie and Lisa card using the kit would be fun.

I used the partial die-cutting to create a window and a closure for the card to add some interest to a pretty simple card with lots of white space.

The little chipboard waved and the flair also come from the kit -just like the hidden lobster and the bubbles :) by the way: The lobster and the bubbles were embossed with WOW! silver pearl embossing powder - this might be my new favorite (and luckily I got a BIG jar :) )

Let's open the card now to reveal the inside:

Exciting, isn't it??

If you look at the left side of the inside you can see that there's another flap. It's a tri-fold card so you have plenty of space to write your message and make someone smile :)

I used my new Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to color that little lobster. I think the mix of dark-coral and yellow is the perfect combo for him.
The sentiment and the paper are also from the kit :)

Now it's time to hop over to Anni's blog to see what she created.

Das doppelte Lottchen #131

It's sunday, that means it's Lottie and Lisa time!

That means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp that that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this set and another task.
Today I made a wish, and it is:

Create A Smile - Botanical Love
&
Foiling or metallic embossing

I have NO IDEA why I came up with this challenge because it is so far from my comfort zoone. I don't own foil and I don't do a lot of metallic embossing, because I'm not too much into elegant cards. Well, at least the set has the option to create something elegant.
I tried some gold embossing through a stencil and added a tiny strip of gold to the sentiment. The flower was colored with Distress Ink in Cracked Pistachio and Pine Needles (my fav combo!). I don't like the card a lot, but maybe you do?!

Thanks for stoppin' by, please check out Anni's blog to see how she was inspired by this challenge :)

Coloring Die Cuts with Penny Black

Hi everyone,

as you all know I am a

That means I create Clean and simple cards uying fantastic Penny Black products! Lucky me!
You can find amazing CAS inspiration on the Simplicity Blog - I am surrounded by ah-mah-zing designers. There's inspiration twice a week - and every designer will also post fabulous projects on their own blogs (just like I am doing now)

This is my card for today:

I've never had a background die that's so intricate before and I think this is super pretty - that's why I decided to make it the focal point of my card.
By adding color (using copics) the die pattern really stands out on this card.

  • Die Cut the background from white cardstock
  • color it with bright markers
  • use a Glue-Pen to add adhesive and adhere the background to a white cardbase on an agle to add more interest and give this very elegant pattern a little more of a modern look.
  • fold a strip of vellum, cut banner shaped edges and white emboss the sentiment.
  • adhere the sentiment and add some enamel dots.

Stamps: Penny Black (Let's Chat)
Die: Penny Black (Stellar)
Ink: Versamark
Embossing Powder: Hero Arts white
Cardstock: Exacompta card file
Embellishments: stash

Thanks for stopping by. I'm planning to start blogging on a more regular basis again. :)

Das doppelte Lottchen #118

That means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp that that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this set and another task.
Today Anni made a wish, and it is:

Lawn Fawn - Winter Bunnd
and
Torn Paper

Lawn Fawn - Winter Bunny
und
gerissenes Papier

This card took quite a while. I die-cut, stamped, colored, stenciled, ewmbossed, distressed... A wild mix of techniques. Something you can't se on the picture: the Cloud-pattern is glittery embossing powder by WOW - it look even cooler in real life.

Add a Little Dazzle and Neat and Tangled Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Nat & Tangled + Add A Little Dazzle Blog Hop!

You should have arrived from the Add A Little Dazzle Blog - if you haven't - you can find the entire Hop order at the bottom of this post.
We're sharing projects that use both companies' products for the next three days - so hop along - there are also prizes to be won! There are $25 voucher's for both companies waiting for you - how awesome is THAT?!

Here's the card I made using he Baby Blue Metal Sheet from Add A little Dazzle and Little Santa Girl from Neat & Tangled. You all know I'm not a super bug fan of those cutesie girl-images with big heads, but I seem to like this one a lot.(And coloring is fun!) I embossed the metal sheet with a cuttlebug snowflakes-folder - a very simple card with a lot of impact!

Now it's time to hop over to Martha Lucia Gomez who's waiting with a great creation. Hope you have lots of fun!

Like many of you I'm totally obsessed with Christmas cards right now. Also am I donating christmas card to the youth center that I work at so we can sell them to have a little more money for new toys, stage properties and art supplies for the kids. I really hope the cards will sell well, so I picked a German sentiment from Create A Smile (it says something like "Help, it's christmas-ing"? LOL). The market will be on Dec 6th, keep your fingers crossed for the youth center!

Let's hop over to Anni now to see what she created. (She never ever makes a card that I don't like!)
