Shape up your card! (with Penny Black)

Hi everyone,

this is my next post as a

That means I create Clean and simple cards using fantastic Penny Black products! Lucky me!
You can find amazing CAS inspiration on the Simplicity Blog - I am surrounded by ah-mah-zing designers. There's inspiration twice a week - and every designer will also post fabulous projects on their own blogs (just like I am doing now)

This is my card for today:

I thought about spicing up cards that are mainly one layer cards with a large image - adding a nice shape to the card is one way to do this.
I am in LOOOVE with foxes, lately, and this little scene by Penny Black is just adorable.
Well, I am not a big fan of scenes and one-layer cards with focus on a colored image, but honestyl, i just could not resist because the stamps couldn't be any cuter!

Here's a close up at the colored image:

Don't you love that fox? And the mushrooms? And the little bee? If you love coloring the Woodland Friends is a must-have-set for sure!

Do you ever shape up your cards? I love it a lot, but forget about this simple way to add more interest most of the time.
How do you add some interest to your plain cards?

  • Stamp your image on your cardbase (use a thick cardstock if you use your alcohol markers for coloring
  • Color your image
  • Add some twine for more interest
  • Stamp your sentiment
  • draw a cloudy-shape to the top edge and cut through both layers with your scissors (erase the lines if they can still be seen afterwards)

Stamps: Penny Black (Woodland Friends, Snippets)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Coloring Medium: Copic Markers, Delta Markers
Cardstock: Simon Says Stamp Ultra Thick
Twine: Trendy Twine

Thanks for stopping by! i am kind of catching up on things, lately. Hope to be around more, soon!
